According to the financial newspaper \'Expansión\' (http://www.expansion.com/edicion/exp/empresas/es/desarrollo/1083490.html, in Spanish) the shares of Vueling have been blocked by the Madrid stock exchange authorities (CNMV) due to the beginning of talks for the fusion of both Clickair and Vueling. This move pretends to stop the aggressive movement of Ryanair and Easyjet in Spain, since they are offering both domestic and international routes and now are the biggest lcc companies (together with Air Berlin) operating in Spain. |

Very interesting article about SkyEurope in German (http://www.diepresse.com/home/wirtschaft/boerse/345082/index.do?_vl_backlink=/home/index.do) In this rich article, there is a rumour about SkyEurope merging, or at least getting a partnership, with Air Berlin/Niki. But also, it is about relationships inside top management... Karim Makhlouf and Jason Bitter disagree on strategy to adopt. Karim Makhlouf might leave SkyEurope for Austrian airlines... |
